Batata vada is a very tasty and popular dish of mumbai. It is similar to the famous Aloo Bonda of South India but this dish is famous all over India. This recipe is a mumbai style street food that guys beyond all geographical and cultural barriers and becomes world famous.

Batata vada recipe is one more mashed potato snack that you can enjoy at any time as breakfast or dinner. there are many varieties of stuffing from which batata vadas are made. Batata vada are potato vada made by dunking spiced potato balls in flour batter and deep fried. It tastes delicious when eaten with spicy coriander chutney.

Ingredients For Batata Vada
- 1/2 cup pumpkin flour
- 1/2 cup water chestnut flour
- 2 large potatoes boiled
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts chopped
- 2 green chillies
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper Powder
- 1 teaspoon Desi Ghee
- Rock salt as per taste
- Oil for frying
Preparation For Batata Vada
Boil the potatoes and peel them.
Chop green chillies, green coriander, lemon and peel the peanuts and keep them cut.

Make Batata Vada Like This
Heat the oil in a pan, when the oil is hot then fry the cumin seeds in it and now add peanuts, black pepper powder, chopped green chilies, boiled potatoes, salt and coriander and fry them well by stirring and filling the potatoes.
When it fry, keep it to cool down. Now pour both the flour in a vessel and add salt, green chilli and water in it and make a batter and keep it.
Now make medium sized balls with the potato mixture, this is our batata vada and heat the oil in a pan, then dip each batata vada in the prepared solution and put the pan and fry it in hot oil.
Initially keep the flame low and after the color of the shells turn golden, take out the batata vada from the pan and now serve a plate hot.
